가끔 바둑왕 초기시절 보고 처음엔 못그렸네 하는 사람들 있는데 그림체가 변화한것뿐 오바타 타케시는 고딩때부터 완성형이었음.

다시말하지만 그림체가 90년대초의 데포르메 형식이어서 그렇지 잘그렸었음)






그림 잘그리는 만화가를 꼽아보라면 항상 다섯손가락 안에 드는 작가
특히 리즈시절이었던 히카루의 바둑 후반~데스노트 는 정말 만화도 만화지만 독자들 모두 그림 하나하나에 감탄하면서 봤을 정도

한때 만화입시생들의 주 모작대상으로 입시생들을 조져놓은 전적이 있음
