Singaporean fans were treated to an unforgettable evening as multi-talented actor Yoo Yeon Seok graced The Theatre at Mediacorp on March 27, Thursday evening, for his highly anticipated fan meeting. The seasoned performer — known for his versatility in acting, singing, and presenting — delivered a captivating show that showcased his talent, humour, and warmth.
Dressed impeccably in a sharp suit, the 40-year-old heartthrob made a striking first impression, paying homage to fans’ love for his commanding role as Baek Sa-Eon in When The Phone Rings. Later in the evening, he switched into a more relaxed yet stylish denim-on-denim ensemble, exuding effortless cool while keeping the energy fresh and dynamic.
A Night of Vocals, Games, and Laughter
Throughout the evening, fans were treated to a showcase of Yoo Yeon Seok’s musicality as he performed songs from the When The Phone Rings OST, including the soulful See The Light and the emotive Numb. His powerful yet tender vocals filled the theatre, drawing swoons, cheers, and admiration.
A special highlight of the night came when the director of a Korean production he had previously performed in made a surprise appearance, joining him on stage with a guitar. Not one to limit himself, Yoo Yeon Seok also delivered stirring performances from his musical Hedwig and The Angry Inch, proving once again why he is regarded as a multi-talented entertainer.
Paired with the high-energy event emcee, April, Yoo Yeon Seok indulged the audience in games and quizzes, creating moments of laughter, camaraderie, and even more impromptu performances. Fans cheered as he gamely answered fun questions, reenacted iconic scenes, and even sang surprise song snippets as “penalties.” His quick wit and willingness to play along only deepened the audience’s love for him.
Fluent, Funny, and Full of Heart
Beyond his musical performances, Yoo Yeon Seok kept the audience enthralled with his natural charisma and sharp sense of humor.
