미국 CDC 질병통제예방센터(우리나라로 따지면 질병관리청)에서 발표한 그래프인데
1995년도에는 인구 1,000명당 한 명이었대
2020년 연구에서는 인구 36명당 한 명,
2022년(2025년 발표)에는 인구 31명당 한 명까지 늘었어

1 in 20 boys nationwide are diagnosed with autism

Rates of autism are rising sharply among minority populations:
Asian and Pacific Islander – 38.2 per 1,000
American Indian and Alaska Native – 37.5 per 1,000
Black – 36.6 per 1,000
Hispanic – 33.0 per 1,000
White – 27.7 per 1,000

Nearly 64% of children with autism are classified as having an intellectual disability or borderline intellectual disability:
39.6% have an IQ under 70
24% borderline intellectual disability (IQ 70 -85)

특히 남자에서 여자보다 자폐 발병률이 3~4배 높기 때문에 남자아이들 20명 중 한명이 자폐로 진단되고,
인종에 따른 차이는 아시안에서 조금 더 높다고 하네
65%에서 지능 문제를 동반함
