MG : Minimum Guarantee. 콘텐츠를 제공하고 수익배분 계약을 함에 있어 공급자가 유통사로부터 최소수익을 약정하고 이를 선지급받는 방식이다. 게임 퍼블리싱 등에서 활용되고 있으며 웹툰의 경우 유료 플랫폼 등장 이후 일반적인 계약형태로 등장했다.

일반적으로 회당으로 일정 금액을 책정한다. 원고를 마감할 경우 회 단위로 지급하기도 하고, 월 단위로 지급하기도 한다. 지급방식은 계약에 의해 변경할 수 있다.

MG의 핵심은 추후 발생한 수익에서 작가에게 지불한 MG를 제하고 나머지 수익을 플랫폼과 작가가 약정한 비율로 나누는 제도다. 원리는 단순하지만 운영면에서 다양한 형태가 존재한다.
