1998년 아일랜드 카운티 코크 지역의
킬코 캐슬(Kilcoe Castle)이라는 15세기 고성을
제레미 아이언스가 충동구매 함

아내에게도 말하지 않고 사는 바람에
나중에 아내가 알고 충격을 받았다고...ㅎㅎ



막상 사고 보니 400년 동안 비어있던 성을
유지 보수하는데 너무 많은 비용이 들어갔다고 함



수리 보수하는데만 총 6년이 걸렸고
당시 돈으로 150만 유로 (20억 원) 이상 들어감

(이탈리아 정부가 콜로세움을 복원하는데 들인 비용과 같은 액수라고...)



이 성 때문에 엄청난 수리비와 세금이 지출되어
B급 영화를 닥치는대로 찍었지만 후회하지 않는다고 밝힘
