포지아는 2015년, 16살이라는 정말 어린 나이에 데뷔한 싱어송라이터임
재능을 인정받고 6년 동안 애틀랜틱 레코드(브루노 마스, 앤마리, 카디비, 에드 시런, 켈리 클락슨 등등의 소속사)에 소속되어있었지만
소속사가 데뷔 앨범을 6년 동안 안 내줘서 2024년 11월 28일, 인디 가수로 전향하겠다고 선언하더니 소속사를 박차고 나옴
그리고 2025년 11월 7일에 무소속인 상태로 데뷔 앨범을 냄
이 노래는 그 앨범의 수록곡
가사는 차갑고 무관심한 애인 때문에 괴로워하는 내용인데
자기 자신을 방치한 소속사에 대한 이야기로도 들려서(어떻게 자기를 가만히 서서 지켜보기만 할 수가 있냐, 정말 사랑했다면 놓아달라는 가사도 있고 그럼)
포지아를 오랫동안 지켜본 나로서 정말 마음 아팠던 곡임
데뷔 앨범도 냈으니 이제 재능을 마음껏 펼쳤으면 좋겠음
