HYBE가 타 레이블과의 경영권 다툼에서 자신들에게 여론이 나빠지자 본인은 비난받지 않기 위해 교묘하게 ㅂㅌ의 이름을 앞세워, 모든 비난이 ㅂㅌ에게 몰리도록 미디어 플레이를 하고 있기 때문입니다. K-army들은, 경영권 분쟁에 있어서도 HYBE가 불필요하게 ㅂㅌ을 언급하여 army들을 이용해 상대측을 공격하게 만들었다고 보고 있습니다. 현재로서는 HYBE가 ㅂㅌ에 대해 break wings project를 자행하고 있는거나 마찬가지입니다.

1. 2. ㅂㅌ이 사이비 종교/컬트 DW와 관련이 있다는 거짓 소문에 휩싸인 많은 회사들은 이미 자신들과 관련된 거짓 주장이 포함된 게시물(요청하면 누가 게시물을 보류하도록 요청했는지 보여준다)을 삭제하고 있으며, DW와 관련된 자사에 대한 거짓 주장을 한 사람들에 대해 법적 조치를 취할 것임을 분명히 했습니다. 한편, HYBE는 법적 조치를 취할 것이라고 간단한 발표만 했지만, 많은 K-army들은 여전히 소문을 퍼트리고 있는 안티들을 상대하고 있으며, HYBE가 사이트에 게시물을 삭제하도록 요청했다는 소식은 아직도 없습니다.

그리고 23년 한국 인기 TV쇼에 출연한 방시혁 PD는 "내가 ㅂㅌ을 유명해서 유명하다는 바이럴 전략으로 더 유명하게 만들었다"는, 안티들이 흔히 ㅂㅌ을 깎아내리기 위해 쓰던 주장을 본인이 직접 공식적으로 발언했습니다.

 

BTS가 세계에 알려지기 전에는 K-army가 ㅂㅌ을 지켜를냈고, I-army(특히 미국의 army)들이 자국의 라디오 디제이에게 노래 틀어달라고 편지 쓰고 꽃을 보내며 ㅂㅌ을 키워냈습니다. 그리고 이러한 팬들을 만든건 ㅂㅌ의 팬들과 음악을 향한 순수한 사랑과 열정이었습니다. 그러나 방시혁 PD는 ㅂㅌ과 팬들의 모든 노력을 무시하고 자신의 공으로 돌렸습니다.

 

HYBE는 자신들의 이익만을 위해 노력하고 있고, ㅂㅌ의 명예는 전혀 고려하고 있지 않습니다.

 

4. 그래서 K-army들은 HYBE에게 제대로 된 해명과, ㅂㅌ을 회사 자신을 지키기 위한 미디어 플레이에 이용하지 않을것, 그리고 멤버들의 보호를 요청하기 위해 오프라인으로 트럭, 화환을 보내는 등의 액션을 취하고자 합니다.

 

트럭과 화환이 무슨 소용이 있냐고 생각하는 분들이 계실지도 모릅니다. 그러나 이것은 팬들이 HYBE를 지지하는 것이 아닌, ㅂㅌ만을 지지한다는 것을 회사와 사회에 동시에 알리기 위한 몇 안되는 방법입니다. 멤버들의 음악적 지지는 더 열심히 하되, HYBE의 아티스트 보호에 대한 방임을 용납할 수 없다는 의견을 HYBE에게 표시할 수 있으며, 또한 주주들과 사람들에게도 팬들이 HYBE가 아닌 ㅂㅌ을 보호할 것이라는 것을 알릴 수 있는 방법입니다.

 

지금껏 ARMY들은 HYBE에게 e-mail도 보내봤고, weverse에도 알려봤고, 트위터 실트 공격도 해봤지만 HYBE는 무시해왔습니다.

여기서 멤버들이 직접 참여한 앨범, 콘서트, 스트리밍 등은 절대 보이콧 대상이 아님을 분명히 밝힙니다.

 

이 이슈는 우리들의 리더의 새 앨범이 발매될 때까지 쭉 이어질 것이 예상되므로, 이를 막기 위한 모든 행동을 새 앨범 발매 전까지 완료하려고 합니다.

 

이 항의는 앞으로 발매될 멤버들의 새 앨범에 피해가 없도록 하는 것이 목적이며, HYBE가 그 동안의 ㅂㅌ의 커리어를 무너뜨리고 있는 것을 두고 볼 수 없기 때문입니다. 그만큼 한국의 여론은 심각합니다.

특히 이 부분인데, 여기서 영어로는 주어가 We지만, 한국어 공지의 주어는 방탄소년단, 즉 BTS로 되어 있습니다.

하이브의 공지는 항상 그래왔지만, 특히 이번 하이브의 경영권 분쟁 시점부터 하이브는 이런 식으로 BTS의 이름을 노골적으로 내세워 왔습니다.

 

 

한국 언론의 생태상, 모든 기사의 주어는 BTS이고, 안티들은 제목만 보고 BTS가 모든 잘못을 범한 것으로 몰아가고,

그리고 한국의 대중들은 그것이 진실인 것으로 오해합니다.

또한 하이브는 그들에게 나빠진 여론을 피하기 위해 BTS의 이름을 방패로 내세우고 그들의 뒤로 숨었고, 모든 비난은 BTS가 받고 있습니다.

BTSが世界に知られるようになる前は、K-ARMYがBTSを守り、I-ARMY（特にアメリカのARMYたち）が自国のラジオDJに曲をかけてもらうように手紙を書いたり、花を送ったりしてBTSを育てました。そして、これらのファンを作り出したのは、BTSのファンたちと音楽への純粋な愛と情熱でした。しかし、パン・シヒョクPDはBTSとファンのすべての努力を無視し、自身の功績として認めました。

4. そのため、K-ARMYたちはHYBEに正当な説明と、BTSを会社自身を守るための偏向報道に利用しないこと、そしてメンバーたちの保護を要求するため、オフラインでトラックや花輪を送るなどの行動を取ろうとしています。

 

トラックや花輪が何の役に立つか疑問に思う方々もいるかもしれません。しかし、これはファンがHYBEを支持しているのではなく、BTSだけを支持していることを会社と社会に同時に伝える数少ない方法です。メンバーの音楽的支持はより一層強化しつつも、HYBEのアーティスト保護の放置を容認することはできないという意見をHYBEに示すことができます。また、株主や一般の人々にも、ファンがHYBEではなくBTSを保護するということを伝えることができる方法です。

 

これまでにARMYたちはHYBEにメールを送ったり、Weverseに知らせたり、Twitterのリアルタイムトレンド総攻撃したりしましたが、HYBEは無視してきました。彼らが最も心配しているのは会社の株価が下がることであり、株主が怒ることを最も恐れています。実際に、HYBEは今日、株主だけに(!)謝罪する記事を出しました。そのため、K-ARMYは株主の関心を引くようなオフラインの活動を計画しています。

特にこの部分ですが、ここで英語では主語が「We」ですが、韓国語の告知では主語が「防弾少年団」、つまりBTSになっています。

HYBEのお知らせはいつもそうでしたが、特に今回のHYBEの経営権紛争の時点から、HYBEはこんな風にBTSの名前を露骨に掲げてきました。

HYBEの巧妙なマスコミによる巧妙な偏向報道のため、韓国メディアの生態上、すべての記事の主語はBTSで、アンチたちはタイトルだけを見てBTSがすべての過ちを犯したと追い込み、そして韓国の大衆はそれが真実であると誤解します。

現在、HYBEは彼らに対する悪い世論を避けるためにBTSの名前を盾にして彼らの後ろに隠れ、すべての非難がBTSに向けられています。

K-armyたちは現場でその雰囲気を実感しているため、さらに状況が深刻だと判断しました。

そのため、K-armyたちはHYBEにきちんとした釈明と、BTSを会社自身を守るための偏向報道に利用しないこと、そしてメンバーたちの保護を要請しています。

Hi international ARMY,

 

This is an explanation for those who are interested in the current situation in Korea. BTS is currently facing unprecedented extreme online bullying and abuse worse than 2015-2016 because Hybe is using BTS in its fight for company control and letting BTS take all the media backlash. The issue initially arose with Hybe's fight with Min Heejin, which I am sure most of you are aware of. However, because BSH and Hybe attempted blatant media play by name dropping BTS, Korean sentiment is not great towards the company.

 

Unfortunately, Hybe has only been addressing attacks against the company and BSH, not against BTS. Therefore, the focus of the public has completely shifted from the company's internal conflict to rumors about BTS's alleged involvement with the cult Dan World and chart manipulation. Hybe refuses to do anything and is hiding behind BTS, using them as a shield, simply saying that they have no comments, despite the fact that they have the means to refute these rumors. The problem is that the public is taking Hybe's silence as concession that the rumors are true.

 

Currently, Korean websites are currently flooded with hate towards BTS beyond K-Army's ability to address, despite our large numbers. Without the company directly addressing these rumors with facts, it is not possible to get rid of them. See below for a summary of the issues:

 

1. Chart manipulation rumors: Back in 2017-2018, Hybe reported someone for blackmailing the company. BTS had paid him for media and the blackmailer demanded money by saying that he will reveal Hybe's chart manipulation (sajaegi). At the time, Hybe refuted these statements saying that it was not true, that the relevant practice was viral marketing instead of chart manipulation. Hybe also reported him to the police and he was later convicted. Unfortunately, the language of the official court document implies the possibility of the company actually having paid for the chart manipulation. While the court opinion implies the possibility of chart manipulation, it does not clarify this issue, because the focus was on the blackmailer rather than the victim. Antis are running rampant, claiming that BTS's success is falsely created. Hybe simply responded that it is not true and that is was explained back in 2017. However, this is not enough to refute the accusation without more concrete facts. The clarification on this matter is crucial as it is directly related to the reputation of BTS. The damage is already palpable and it is getting out of hand by the second while the company does nothing to actively protect BTS from attacks based on what the company has allegedly done wrong.

 

2. Cult involvement rumors: There is a possibility that the online university BTS attended is created/funded by a pseudo-religion/cult called Dan World. This university extensively promoted itself as the university that BTS attended, so BTS has been dragged into this issue. Antis are now scrutinizing BTS's activities, including their lyrics, and trying to find connections between BTS and Dan World. Many companies that were brought up in the false rumors towards BTS being related to the pseudo-religion/cult Dan World are already taking down posts containing false claims (when posts are taken down by requests, it shows who requested to have the post withheld) related to them and made it clear that they will be taking legal actions against those who made false claims against them. Meanwhile, HYBE has only made a general announcement that they will be taking legal actions and has not done anything concrete. This silence is giving grounds to these rumors and but no posts are being removed from HYBE's request.

 

3. Hybe's lack of concern for BTS's reputation: It is not the first time Hybe has been negligent in protecting BTS. In 2022, Hybe's CCO carelessly implied that BTS wanted the government to decide their military issue quickly. Upon realizing his mistake, Hybe rushed to bring in BTS to the press conference, when the boys were literally seconds before going up to the concert stage in Las Vegas. Not knowing what happened prior to being brought in, Jin gave the best answer he could - that his stance was the same as the company's. This sparked heated controversies over whether the members were trying to avoid military enlistment. This is an extremely sensitive issue in Korea and BTS has always made clear that they will serve when the time comes. Yet, because of this incident, the members had to take all the blow for the then-CCO's careless remarks, with Hybe doing nothing to clarify the issue.

 

4. BSH and Hybe's attempts to take the credit for BTS's success and downplay their role in Hybe: In 2023, BSH stated on a TV show that he made BTS famous by using a viral strategy that BTS is famous for being famous, downplaying BTS's music and fan's efforts and reducing BTS's success to mere viral strategies. BTS's success in the US was due to BTS's sincere music and the efforts of international armies to bring them to light, such as sending flowers and letters to radio stations. BSH seemed to recognize this a few years ago, but his actions and words today are attempts to take the credit for himself. Hybe's efforts to downplay BTS's role in the company is getting more and more apparent, as can be seen by Hybe's attempts to frame itself and other artists as "successful even without BTS".

 

Conclusion: This is a time when we should focus only on protecting BTS and not speak up on the company’s internal conflict matters; with HYBE being silent and passive, they’re only diverting the public’s attention on the company to the boys which is getting severely destructive. Even with our collective efforts to counter these false claims and stop the rumors and malicious comments against BTS, it is impossible to do so without the company's proper actions.

 

K armies have attempted to communicate with Hybe and Bighit through emails, weverse and twitter. However, it is clear that Hybe only cares about issues that will concern their shareholders, especially with the upcoming shareholders meeting. Because hybe is being criticized for its actions by everyone, this focus on BTS is a good thing for the company image. Despite using BTS as a shield for media play, hybe addressed only the issues relevant to company matters and apologized only to its shareholders, and continues to keep silent on everything BTS related.

 

In light of these facts, we plan to focus on offline, rather than online, activities. K armies are united more than ever about this issue and plan to protest for the protection of BTS on a large scale using trucks and ceremonial flowers (commonly used for these kind of protests in Korea). We also plan to put this issue in the economy section of the newspaper. We have already raised sufficient funds, and it is set to begin on Friday KST.

 

Please note that some are boycotting Hybe, but this boycott does NOT extend to BTS's music (albums, concerts etc.), since this is a Hybe vs. BTS matter. Although we can't stop Hybe from benefitting from BTS's music, our ultimate goal is to show support to BTS, Hybe or not. We also hope to address this issue completely before Jin is back from the military.

 

 

 

Lastly, I'd like to point out one issue with the defamation notice posted by HYBE today.

 

"최근 방탄소년단의 명예를 훼손하고 음해하려는 사재기 마케팅·콘셉트 도용·단월드 연관설·사이비 의혹 등은 사실이 아님을 명확히 말씀드립니다."

 

"We would like to clarify that the recent allegations of hoarding, concept plagiarism, and affiliations with Dahnworld or any religious cults are completely false."

 

Especially in this part, the subject in the English version of this notice is "We," but in the Korean notice, the subject is "방탄소년단," which means BTS.

HYBE's announcements have always been like that, but especially since the time of HYBE's management dispute, HYBE has explicitly put BTS' name on all announcements in this way.

 

Due to HYBE's subtle media play, in the ecosystem of Korean media, the subject of every article is BTS. Antis, seeing only the headlines, blame BTS for everything, and the Korean public misunderstands this to be the truth.

Right now, to avoid negative public opinion, HYBE has been using BTS's name as a shield, hiding behind them, while all the criticism falls on BTS.

 

K-ARMYs are feeling the atmosphere firsthand, so they judge the situation to be even more serious. Therefore, K-ARMYs want HYBE to provide proper explanations, not to use BTS's name for their own media play, and to demand protection for the members.
